About the regulations
These amendments set boundary lines between freshwater and marine waters in the Fraser, Mackenzie and Miramichi estuaries. They clarify federal jurisdiction with respect to controlling disposal at sea, as specified in Part 7, Division 3, of CEPA. They also clarify the disposal activities in the Bras d'or Lakes.
