Export of Substances Under the Rotterdam Convention Regulations (SOR/2002-317) [Repealed]

About the regulations

These regulations ensure that chemicals and pesticides subject to the prior informed consent (PIC) procedure are not exported to parties to the Convention, unless the importing Party has provided its PIC to the shipment. Canada also ensures that Canadian exporters respect any conditions imposed on the importation of these substances.
