About the regulations

These amendments allow transfers or exchange of permits or quantities of methyl bromide among companies that have been granted critical or emergency use exemptions in a given year. The amendments also supplement Environment Canada's monitoring capability with permit requirements for the use of methyl bromide, in addition to the existing import permits.
