List or group: Schedule 8 of the New Substances Notification Regulations (Chemicals and Polymers)
Substance identifier: 144-19-4
Substance identifier (2):
Substance name: 1,3-Pentanediol, 2,2,4-trimethyl-
Additional information: This substance is a reactant on Schedule 8 to the New Substances Notification Regulations (Chemicals and Polymers). Under these regulations, a polymer that is a polyester manufactured solely from reactants listed on Schedule 8 or an anhydrous form of those reactants (other than the reactants or their anhydrous forms that include both 1-butanol and fumaric or maleic acid) is a Reduced Regulatory Requirement (RRR) polymer. RRR polymers are considered to be of low concern, which allows for fewer regulatory information requirements under the regulations than for non-RRR polymers.

For more information on the regulatory requirements for new chemicals and polymers, refer to the Guidance document for the New Substances Notification Regulations (Chemicals and Polymers).
