Additional information: | This substance is on the Domestic Substances List (DSL). The manufacture or import of a substance not on the DSL may be subject to notification under the New Substances Notification Regulations (Chemicals and Polymers) or the New Substances Notification Regulations (Organisms). Following notification, Environment and Climate Change Canada and Health Canada carry out a joint assessment process to determine whether there is a potential for adverse effects on the environment and human health. This substance was manufactured or imported during the transitional period (i.e. between January 1, 1987 and July 1, 1994) and was added to the DSL following a risk assessment by Environment and Climate Change Canada and Health Canada. This substance meets the Reduced Regulatory Requirement (RRR) polymer criteria prescribed by the New Substances Notification Regulations (Chemicals and Polymers). Any form of the substance that does not meet the RRR polymer criteria is subject to notification under those regulations prior to import or manufacture.
