Regulations Amending the PCB Regulations and Repealing the Federal Mobile PCB Treatment and Destruction Regulations (SOR/2014-75)

About the regulations

These amendments extend the end-of-use deadline for high concentration electrical equipment that contains PCBs in a concentration of 500 mg/kg or more. Under the amendments, companies with the specified high concentration equipment will be given until 2025 to phase it out. They also correct certain inconsistencies between English and French texts and repeal the Federal Mobile PCB Treatment and Destruction Regulations.
